rom 1981 to 1983I worked on this project of images and lyrics that were meant to accompany my music during that period. Recently, while browsing old folders, I re-discovered it. Then, I  digitalised and restored its pages.

The project already featured Retrophuture’s poetics and imagery, even if assembled with primitive cut-ups and typed on one of the first IBM typewriters with changeable typeball, in a sort of a primordial, self-made Photoshop.

Interestingly, either on the cover of the Plüsvalore cassette and in these pages, the symbolic figure of Klaatu (Michael Rennie) stands out. He returns as protagonist in the recent video and images of "Electronic (music) engineering", showing the power and persistency of the archetypes.

  ra il 1981 il 1983 ho lavorato a questo progetto di immagini e liriche che doveva affiancare la mia musica di allora. Recentemente, frugando fra vecchie cartelle, l’ho riscoperto, digitalizzato e restaurato.

Il progetto aveva già tutte le caratteristiche e la poetica di Retrophuture, anche se realizzato con un cut-up primordiale fatto di collage e testi battuti con una delle prime macchine a testina variabile IBM, una sorta di primitivo Photoshop fatto in casa.

È interessante notare che sia nella copertina della cassetta Plüsvalore che in queste pagine risalta la figura di Klaatu (Michael Rennie), che ritorna protagonista del video recente e delle immagini di “Electronic (music) engineering”. Potenza e persistenza degli archetipi...
